The Data Recovery Process
Once you have registered your case using our simple data recovery registration form you will receive regular updates as your device progresses through the following key stages:
Awaiting Media
We are waiting for your media so that we can assess it, if you have not already done so why not contact us to arrange your free UPS collection, or drop it in at our walk-in diagnostic and recovery centre.
Assessing Media
Our technicians are running various tests to establish what data can be retrieved from your media. In the case of physically damaged media this stage will consist of an inspection to establish what repairs are necessary to make the device readable.
Assessment Report Ready
We have completed our assessment and produced a report detailing the data that can be retrieved, along with the cost and timescale associated with this retrieval.
Recovering Data
Our technicians are now at work recovering your data and preparing it for delivery back to you.
File List Ready
We have extracted data and produced a file list showing all of the data available, this enables you to confirm that the data you need is present.
Delivering Recovered Data
Data recovery is now complete and the recovered data is on its way back to you on your choice of return media. Details of return media options can be found here. We welcome all customers who wish to collect their data in person.
